How to add a floating topic

How to add a floating top to my map?

A floating topic is any topic that is not connected to the central or the main topic.  In essence, a map can contain countless floating topics with their own subtopics. The floating topics are useful for noting uncategorized items, flashing thoughts, or creating flow charts.

Technically, to create a floating topic, you would use [Ctrl + T], then click the mouse button to position the cursor and enter text.  But you can sidestep the [Ctrl + T] and just click the mouse button and start typing text.

Option 1:

  1. Ctrl + T (The arrow mouse cursor will change to a vertical bar cursor when you start moving the cursor)
  2. Position the vertical bar mouse cursor to where you want the floating topic to appear and click the mouse button
  3. Enter text when a blinking vertical bar appears
  4. Press the Enter key (or double click the mouse button) when finished typing

Option 2:

  1. Position the mouse cursor to where you want the floating topic to appear and click the mouse button
  2. Enter text
  3. Press the Enter key (or double click the mouse button) when finished typing
