How to add a floating topic
How to add a floating top to my map?
A floating topic is any topic that is not connected to the central or the main topic. In essence, a map can contain countless floating topics with their own subtopics. The floating topics are useful for noting uncategorized items, flashing thoughts, or creating flow charts.
Technically, to create a floating topic, you would use [Ctrl + T], then click the mouse button to position the cursor and enter text. But you can sidestep the [Ctrl + T] and just click the mouse button and start typing text.
Option 1:
- Ctrl + T (The arrow mouse cursor will change to a vertical bar cursor when you start moving the cursor)
- Position the vertical bar mouse cursor to where you want the floating topic to appear and click the mouse button
- Enter text when a blinking vertical bar appears
- Press the Enter key (or double click the mouse button) when finished typing
Option 2:
- Position the mouse cursor to where you want the floating topic to appear and click the mouse button
- Enter text
- Press the Enter key (or double click the mouse button) when finished typing
